Spring colours

I need some opinions here!

RB and I are still discussing wedding colours. We've changed the date to May 21 2011 (May long weekend) instead of a summer wedding July 2. I'm a big fan of regal colours, like royal blue, royal purple, deep reds/crimsons and golds. However, I feel this would be too "fall" or "winter". So I'm thinking to do the deep reds and golds but with tiffany blue to lighten things up and of course lots of ivories.

What do you think of this? I still have lots of greenery around. I am thinking of tiffany blue dresses for the bridesmaids and then deep red bouquets and mine would be as well.

Happy weekend, everyone!

  1. Love the idea! Tiffany blue is so rich (pardon the pun) and gorgeous and very much strong enough to pair with red. I like the photos that show the blue as the dominant color with the reds as an accent. Not sure about gold, though. You'll have to play with swatches to find a gold that is bright enough to work.

  2. Hello there! I just came across your blog today and have quite enjoyed looking around. I am totally going to follow you now - I hope you don't mind :)

I too am planning my wedding which is on April 11, 2010. Picking the colors can be so difficult, but I LOOOOOOOVE the combo that you have suggested. I think it is so simple and classic while being modern and playful. GREAT pick!!!!!
